The UA Winter Concert always brings our community together in a wonderful way. What an entertaining evening we had at the Massey Theatre on Wednesday, highlighted by the first-ever strings performance from our Grade 6, 8, and 9 students! The talent and dedication of all our students and staff truly shone through, filling the audience with holiday spirit!

On a bittersweet note, we are saying farewell to Ms. Ashleigh Bonifacio from her role at the front desk. She is moving to France to pursue her dream of working full-time as a dancer at Paris Disney. While we will greatly miss her warm presence, we are thrilled to see her chasing her dreams! Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome new staff in January: Ms. Ula Jo, who joins our administration team, bringing years of valuable administrative and registrar experience from other schools, and Mr. Miguel Valiao, who will be joining our Senior School English department.

As 2025 draws to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our community, from our dedicated students, supportive families, to our outstanding staff, and committed Board of Directors. It is a true honour to be the Head of School at UA, and I am consistently inspired by the growth trajectory of our school and the exceptional community we have nurtured over UA’s first 25 years. On behalf of the entire staff, your thoughtful generosity, particularly the gifts and treats received this week, is deeply appreciated and truly makes us feel valued!

As we enter the new year with a renewed sense of hope and energy, we will remain focused on our core vision of ‘educating for tomorrow.’ This vision is upheld by our fundamental promise: that every student is known, every student is stretched, and every student is future-ready. The new tuition rates have been carefully considered to ensure we can continue advancing toward this vision and fully uphold this promise to our students and families.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with relaxation and time with loved ones. I look forward to the new adventures that 2026 will bring to us all! Wishing you all the best, and I can’t wait to see everyone back in 2026!

Yours in education,

Mr. Mike Slinger, Head of School
