Next week is an exciting one! It’s Giving Tuesday and the final big push in our Annual Giving Campaign. We are only 4 days away and still about $40,000 from our goal. So when I was thinking about today’s message, pointing to Giving Tuesday, I wanted to articulate the incredible difference your gifts make to the UA Program and how we need the help of 100% of our community.
Fortunately, this week I was also reviewing the report from our annual Grade 6–12 Student Survey. I thought that instead of trying to explain the impact of the Annual Giving Campaign, I would share a few anecdotes from UA Students themselves about what they value. Enjoy this glimpse into their thoughts on what they value most about UA, and know that each of these items is either made possible or improved by your contributions. And if you have not yet contributed, we would love to be able to count on you to help us continue to receive this kind of student feedback:
“What I value most is the way both peers and teachers motivate me to develop new skills and grow continuously. UA also provides countless opportunities for students to challenge themselves and become the best version of who they can be.” ~Grade 6 Student
“I enjoy all of the field trips that we have had because they were both fun and educational.” ~ Grade 7 student
“I like that students are close with the teachers, and that you can actually talk to them and have real conversations.” ~ Grade 11 student
“I value the number of clubs and the amount of sports we have, as well as them being open to both boys and girls.” ~ Grade 6 student
“I value the opportunities that we have to go on trips, for athletics and for outdoor and physical education.” ~ Grade 10 student
So if you have not yet participated, please take a few minutes to join many, many other UA families to give online today.
We couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful community!
Yours In Education,
Mr. Mike Slinger, Head of School
