Today, the eldest UA Student of each household will be coming home with Urban Academy’s (second) annual Magazine: The Urban Academy Roar. While it is also available online, please ask your child for it once they arrive home. This is a special edition as it celebrates the history of Urban Academy, and some of the key people and stories that have been integral to the journey. It also shares many stories of student experiences, and looks forward to the future.
Part of the magazine, the last third, is also our Annual Report for the 2024/2025 school year. It reviews the work of the board and school leadership this last school year, and shares important organizational information in preparation for our upcoming Community AGM.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to the Community AGM taking place as a webinar on Thursday, November 20, at 7 pm. We will review the 2024/2025 year, get up to date on the school’s financials, celebrate our history as we reflect on Urban Academy’s 25 year anniversary, and offer some insight into the board’s work as we look to the future.
