Today, our students wrapped up an incredible Health and Wellness Week! The week was a resounding success, balancing high-energy physical activities with mindful moments of connection. We kicked things off with our school-wide Buddy Walk, which saw students from JK through Grade 12 exploring the local community and Hume Park alongside their buddy groups. Throughout the week, our students stayed active with Workout Wednesday body breaks and house games, all while maintaining a respectful environment for our seniors completing their AP Exams on the 5th floor.

The crown jewel of the week was undoubtedly 2 Talent Shows on Thursday, one for junior and one for middle school. Following a competitive “Try Out Tuesday” where teachers selected acts from each class, our risk-takers took to the gym stage to showcase their unique gifts. From musicians/beatboxers, gymnasts and sport demonstrations to jugglers and magicians, the level of talent on display was truly inspiring. The Junior School was treated to a high-energy morning show that included a special guest appearance by teacher band Jade and the Jemstones, while the Middle School performers captivated the audience during their afternoon performances including piano, rapping, band and ballet performances.

We concluded the festivities with Staff/Student Friday, a day filled with school spirit and friendly competition. Our Grade 7 students took on the faculty in Triple Ball Volleyball, while the Senior School students challenged staff members in the gym for a high-stakes volleyball match. Younger students enjoyed a Feel Good Friday featuring in-class workouts to round out their week. Thank you to all the student performers, staff leaders, and organizers who made this week such a vibrant celebration of our community’s well-being!

Yours in Student Life,

Mr. Twaites
