Head of School’s Weekly Message

April 14, 2022

I hope everyone has plans to enjoy the long weekend. The weather looks like it might cooperate with some sunshine over the next few days. I know many of our families will be celebrating and observing a wide variety of traditions this weekend including Easter, Passover, Vaisakhi and Ramadan. It is wonderful to have such a rich diversity within our UA community.

I am not sure if you have all noticed, but the pace of activities at UA has picked up considerably with the easing of restrictions. It is wonderful to see so much activity starting to happen. This week has been full of energy with the student-led Spirit Week, and participation was high throughout the week. Next week will see the school celebrate Wellness Week. The weeks leading into the end of year are going to be full of activities. Please make sure you check the calendar regularly on the website, or in the weekly update, to make sure you do not miss anything.

I will also let you know that our search for our new Principal is under way. I am very pleased with the response and the quality of the applicants who have applied to join our leadership team. I am hopeful that I will be able to announce the new Principal early next month.

Thank you to the community and incredibly hard working Gala Committee for putting together such a wonderful event that I am really looking forward to. The incredible silent auction is also now open – see those details below. I am excited to experience my first ‘live’ UA Gala and having an opportunity to connect with our UA community in person!

Yours in education,

Mr. Slinger
