Hi, my name is Leon, I’m in Grade 4, and I got to be the Head of School today! Today I got to go around and look at everything. I went to all the classes and saw all the students work and play. I saw some people that I already knew in high school. It was a great experience, and I encourage people to also try this.
Why I liked it
I got to see places that kids won’t see, like the house next door and the 4 and 5 floors that are usually just for senior students. We also explored the huge building next door in order to figure out where the signage needs to go. We did an Instagram post and planned for the next school magazine for our 25 year anniversary. I also got to do a PA announcement for Jeans Day. I really liked it.
Suggestions for the Head of School
My suggestions as the Head of School are that for the Imagination Deck, there are not many things in it, so I think we should add more stuff that kids would like and more colour. And for that house next to the school, I think it should be a storage room and a maker space so kids can do more math or science things. Those were my suggestions. Thank you.
What I would think of being a Head of School
I really liked it because it was fun, exciting, funny and nerve-racking, but it was a very good time. I think it would be good to be a Head of School because you are the boss of the school, and everyone knows you, and you get to have meetings with other people, and I think meetings are fun. Another reason is because you get to sit in a really comfy chair and spin around, and everyone respects you. Those are the reasons that being a head of school would be fun.
