The Urban Academy Gala is a significant fundraising event that helps us equip students with the necessary opportunities and materials required for an exceptional education is our Annual Urban Academy Gala. The parent-run Gala Committee plans an exciting evening event that truly is helping us to build our dream. Over 250 parents and community members join us for dinner, entertainment, live auction, and so much more.
This year is an incredibly special Gala as we celebrate Urban Academy’s 25th year! So please save the date and join us on February 28, 2026 at the Hilton Metrotown!
Come and celebrate Urban Academy and the journey and people who helped get us here. We are welcoming alumni, past families, staff and community members and sharing stories of the dream of Urban Academy and what it has become today. There will be dinner, dancing, celebrating and a bit of a walk down memory lane.

Live Auction Items
Our Gala Procurement Team is currently gathering a limited number of items for the live auction portion of the event.
Do you have tickets to shows or sporting events? Perhaps a timeshare in Mexico or a condo in Whistler that you could contribute for a weekend? Or other fun experiences or items to donate to the auction? If so, please contact the Gala Committee at [email protected] to connect and share your ideas.
Sponsorship
We are grateful for the families, community members and businesses that support Urban Academy. The UA Gala and UA Carnival would again love to welcome members of our community to take part as event sponsors for one or both of these major events for the 2025/26 school year.
Does your company sponsor community events, or support non-profit initiatives? If so, sponsorship opportunities are also part of the Urban Academy Gala. Sponsorship levels start at $1,500 and can offer many opportunities for company exposure and other benefits of the event.
