Annual giving is a difference maker and can make the most impact on every Urban Academy student’s learning experience. It allows our community to come together, ultimately to achieve our vision of educating for tomorrow.
We are aiming to raise $225,000 with 100% family participation. Your gift, regardless of size, is an act of commitment and allows us to invest in:
- Head of School Wish List: to enrich our spaces, adding necessary furniture, equipment and upgrading facilities to support our rapidly growing student population.
- Enhance Our Academic & Extracurricular Programs: to purchase cutting-edge equipment for sports, media arts, and hands-on science experiences, technology, and so much more to ensure every student is stretched in their experiences.
- Financial Aid & Scholarships: to extend vital financial aid and scholarships, directly investing in the diverse and talented fabric of our community.

Four Ways to Donate
PARENT EQUITY UNITS
We have already had a number of families offer to convert a Parent Equity Unit of $5,000 into a donation to support this initiative. As with all donations over $25, those who donate their Parent Equity Units will receive a charitable tax receipt of $5000 per Parent Equity Unit. Each gift of $5,000 and over will also be recognized with a leaf on our giving tree.
EMPLOYER GIFTS
Some companies match employee gifts to a certain amount. So, if a family donates to our school through that program, the organization may match up to 20% of the donation, maximizing the impact of donations made to Urban Academy. Donors simply need to contact their HR Department for the appropriate forms, and forward them with their gifts to Urban Academy for completion. Additionally, donations made to the United Way can be directed to the non profit of the donor’s choice. Simply donate through the United Way, and select Urban Academy as your designated nonprofit.

If you would like to contribute by cheque, or credit card please download the remittance form. Once it is completed, you are welcome to submit it to the office or email it to [email protected].

You can make your contribution as a one-time or monthly gift, online through CanadaHelps.org. Simply click on the link below. A tax-deductible receipt will be emailed to you immediately from CanadaHelps.
