2026/27 School Year
A Comprehensive Tuition Model
Tuition includes a variety of fees that support costs associated with facilities, learning resources, enterprise software solutions, hardware, technology, field trips, camp fees, outdoor education fees, grad program fees, yearbooks and special events. It also includes full school supplies for Grades JK–3 and partial supplies for Grades 4–12.
One-time fees and expenses for new students
Application Fee
There is a $250 non-refundable application fee for each student application.
New Student Registration Fee
Upon acceptance to Urban Academy’s JK–12 program, a non-refundable New Student Registration Fee of $3,000.
UA Community Fund
The UA Community Fund is a strategic, one-time investment (non-refundable) that ensures the continued growth and advancement of the UA Program. This fund allows UA to invest in facilities, reserves and future opportunities, fueling the resources needed to keep our students Known, Stretched and Future-Ready. This is how we will continue to create transformation, not just over a school year, but across a lifetime, securing the long-term success of the program in an evolving educational landscape. Payment is due in May.
- K–Grade 9, first child: $10,000
- K–Grade 9, second child: $7,000
- K–Grade 9, additional children: $0
- Grades 10–12: $2,000
Recurring annual fees and expenses
Re-registration fee
A non-refundable fee of $200 per student is required and due in February for the following year.
Deposit for next school year
To retain the student’s space for the next school year, a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 will be invoiced mid-February. The deposit will be applied towards tuition for the next school year.
Additional costs
Uniforms, Out-of-School Care, Bus Service and other miscellaneous fees are additional.
Sibling discount
Urban Academy offers a sibling discount program for primary or blended families with a shared parent.
- 2nd child: $1,000 discount
- Additional children: $1,500 discount
Payment options: in full up-front or monthly
Option 1: Payment in Full Up-Front: The tuition, as listed, is due April 1 for the following school year.
Option 2: Ten Monthly Installments: A 5% surcharge is added to the full tuition and is paid in 10 monthly installments. The first payment is due April 1, and the remaining nine payments are due each month through January 1.

Administrative notes
- A 3% administration fee will be applied to all Visa and MasterCard payments
- Late payments or cheques returned for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) will incur a $50 service charge per incident
Tuition assistance & entrance scholarships
Belonging is a core value of Urban Academy. We take pride in making amazing education accessible, and we want this to be a school where everyone feels respected and supported.
- Tuition assistance is available to current and new families of students applying for Kindergarten–Grade 12.
- Urban Academy is proud to offer a limited number of fully funded Grade 9–12 Entrance Scholarships for students and families seeking an enriched educational opportunity.
International students
At Urban Academy, international students are an essential part of the inclusive community we intentionally build.
Due dates & commitment
We require full tuition payment to confirm a new student’s acceptance, due within two weeks of their official acceptance date. For re-enrolling international students, full tuition payment is due on February 26.
Please note that these tuition fees are generally non-refundable. The only instance in which tuition is refundable is if the student visa is officially denied. To process a refund, the official visa denial letter must be submitted to the school for proof of denial.
