Urban Academy students are creative and don’t shy away from taking risks. We recognize that success and failure are both opportunities for adaptability, resilience and growth. Rooted in the belief that learning is not a destination but a journey, Urban Academy empowers students to embrace every opportunity that comes their way. Recently, a group of our Grade 6-12 students seized one such opportunity and stepped into a recording studio to lend their voices to an inspirational song for this year’s gala event.
Celebrating The UA Student Experience
The song “Shine Like Stars” by Pinkzebra is a celebration of belonging and inclusivity. It encapsulates the spirit of optimism, resilience, and possibility that defines the Urban Academy experience. It serves as a rallying cry for students to embrace their unique gifts, pursue their passions with confidence, and shine brightly in everything they do.
For these students, the recording studio experience was more than just a chance to sing—it was a lesson in teamwork and perseverance. Seeing their hard work and dedication come to life in such a tangible way is a powerful reminder of the impact that hands-on learning can have.
