Dear UA Parents,
We made it! What a year it has been at UA. Just as I started the year with an interview, we have decided to share some final thoughts of the school year via this video.
I would also like to take a moment to put some thank-yous in writing.
To our UA Board of Directors:
Thank you for your commitment and dedication to UA. Know that your leadership and support are very much appreciated by me and by the community as a whole. This year you helped guide us all through many significant items including the pandemic, the construction of the 5th floor, and a successful application to CAIS, to which our school is seeking membership. It has been quite a year.
To our UA Staff:
It has been a year like no other. You have dedicated yourself to our students, their well-being, and their education. You are a big reason for the success of Urban Academy. Your perseverance, dedication, and commitment have been remarkable. Please take the time to enjoy a well-deserved rest this summer.
To our UA Students:
You carried yourselves so well through a challenging year. You came to school with a smile and enthusiasm and were the motivation for all of the adults at UA. Have a restful and hopefully active summer. I am looking forward to seeing you all back in September.
To our UA Parents:
Thank you for putting your trust in us. Your support and willingness to have your students engaged at UA are appreciated. It has been a challenging year for parents and I hope the summer brings some calm and a return to some normal routines. I am very hopeful that I will have the opportunity to meet you all in person next year. Have a wonderful summer, and we will see you back for our Back to School Celebration.
