Dear Urban Academy Families,
Thank you for another good week of eLearning. We appreciate your support of your child and we know that everyone is working to their best potential. Please do what you can with the circumstances that you have. We understand that this will not be exactly like the learning and the work accomplished when we are in daily attendance, however we have tried to err on the side of providing a very fulsome program for our students.
We are making the school yearbook available online as of this week for families to start placing orders. We will have the orders sent to the school and will arrange some type of pickup for families which will probably also coincide with report cards in June.
I find myself creating multiple plans, not knowing where the actual direction on schools will land as we move through the third term and how exactly we will manage some of these activities, but we will have a plan in place that will work. The cost for a hard copy yearbook is $40 and a soft copy is $30. Please click here and enter code # 13980120 to place your order by May 22. A flyer outlining the information is included below. I would encourage all of our families to think about a yearbook for your child. Each year some of the new families do not choose a yearbook for their child in their first year with us and then, when they see the product in June, they regret not purchasing this wonderful collection of memories of the school year.
The summer program for Out of School Care will go ahead and we will start taking registrations next week if you wish to book a spot for your child. Care and summer programming will be available all of July and August for those wishing to book, following the health protocols that will be directed by the Ministry of Health and licensing.
