underground drive-through

School Drop-off
Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students
Parents with children in JK and K are permitted to purchase a parking pass for the full school year, allowing parents to park for 10 minutes in the parking lot behind the school to bring their young children to class.

Grades K–12 students
Parents of students in Grades K–12 are welcome to drive into the underground parkade each morning after 8.15 am.

Students are not permitted to exit their vehicle until it has come to a stop at the sidewalk.

Cars are required to pull up as far as possible along the sidewalk before coming to a complete stop in order to keep traffic moving.

Students are required to exit their vehicle safely on the sidewalk side of the vehicle, which is supervised by staff.

Supervision during morning drop-off in the parkade, on the crosswalks around the school, and the JK and K entrance, is provided by staff who help direct traffic.

Parking on Rousseau Street directly in front of the school is not permitted and must be kept clear at all times.

Please follow the directions of staff supervising traffic management at all times.

Please remember that all parking in the underground parkade is for staff use only, and parents are not permitted to park there at any time.

School Pick-up
Junior Kindergarten students
JK students are dismissed at 2.55 pm.

Parents are permitted to arrive at 2.50 pm to pick-up their children.

Parents with valid parking passes are permitted to park in the parking lot behind the school for 10 minutes.

Staff is on supervision to ensure the safety of students.

Kindergarten–Grade 12 students
Kindergarten-Grade 6 students are dismissed at intervals from 3.05 – 3.20 pm.

Grades 7–12 students are dismissed at 3.30 pm.

Parents of students in Kindergarten, who hold a valid parking pass, are permitted to park in the parking lot behind the school for 10 minutes.

Parents and guardians of students in Grades 6–12 may drive through the underground after 3.40 pm each afternoon to pick up their children. Please do not stop and wait in the underground, only come through once you are either notified by your child by text or see them waiting. Similar to the morning drop-off procedure, parents and guardians are asked to pull up to the sidewalk in the parkade before the waiting student gets into the vehicle.

In accordance with the Urban Academy Neighbourhood Parking Map, parents and guardians may use on-street parking in the streets around the school, walk to the school building to meet their children, and return to their vehicle in a timely manner.

Parents and guardians are required to be respectful of our neighbours and obey posted signage in the area.

The right education takes your child from remembering and reciting to knowing and understanding.

Stop imagining. Start achieving.
