Urban Academy's mission is to encourage and challenge its students to take a leadership role in their studies; to develop confidence in their abilities; to assess and improve their own learning skills; and to develop a sense of school pride. Urban Academy students receive an enriched academic curriculum by interacting with several core subject and specialist teachers. And since the school offers a full day Kindergarten program, students have time for this enriched curriculum right from the beginning of their education. Included in Urban Academy's program is second language instruction for students at every grade level.
