International students make up a small percentage of each class, but what they bring to the Urban Academy community is immeasurable. From learning about a new culture to being exposed to another language, both the local and international students benefit from learning about one another.
With the help of international students and their parents, we have held a Festival of Lights day in which different cultures are showcased so that the students get a better understanding about the world around them. From Korea to Italy students are able to journey all over the world in a day and learn about what makes these cultures special.
The intimate classroom sizes and personal attention also helps students from other countries learn about Canada, and our language at an accelerated pace. The Urban Academy welcomes international students from all over the world, which enhances the learning of every student who attends our school.
