a safe, secure, individualized learning environment
an enriched academic curriculum infused with fine arts
an inclusive, welcoming culture
highly personalized instruction
a robust tuition assistance program
Individual Attention Urban Academy's alternative teaching method involves understanding each child’s learning habits and abilities. Teachers then customize lessons to maximize students’ learning. With our low student-teacher ratio, students receive personal attention from kindergarten to high school and are supported to meet academic goals and build lifelong friendships.
Our Academic Approach Urban Academy's mission is to encourage and challenge its students to:
take a leadership role in their studies
develop confidence in their abilities
assess and improve their own learning skills
develop a sense of personal and school pride
In our full-day kindergarten to high school programs, students receive an enriched academic curriculum by interacting with several core subject and specialist teachers.
Art Infused Curriculum Urban Academy values the arts as equal in importance to the core subjects and has trained Art, Music, Drama and French specialists for junior kindergarten to high school students.
The skills and opportunities these subjects bring to the classroom go beyond those achieved by stand-alone subjects. By intensifying and expanding on the core subjects, the arts-infused program provides for a rich, engaging learning environment.
