SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING The UA staff are excited to introduce a new learning program to UA this year. The Second Step Social-Emotional Learning Program will be taught to students throughout the school. Some classes began this program in January while others will begin in March. The Second Step program will engage UA students in developing empathy, communication, problem soliving and emotional intelligence skills.
SNACK-PACK-AND GO Urban Academy Will again be a “NO GARBAGE ZONE” through our “Snack – Pack – and Go” program. ALL juice boxes, ALL yogurt containers, ALL snack containers, ALL drink containers, ALL wrappers, and All garbage will be packed back into lunch kits and will be returned home for recycling by each family.
